أخبار اليوم - دشن وزير المياه والري المهندس رائد أبو السعود تشغيل مشروع الطاقة الشمسية الكهروضوئية في محطة الزارة- ماعين بحضور سفير الاتحاد الأوروبي بيير-كريستوف تشاتزيسافس وحضور أمين عام سلطة المياه المهندس سفيان البطاينة والرئيس التنفيذي لشركة مياهنا م. محمد العوران وممثلي البنك الأوروبي للتنمية EBRD بقدرة 1 ميجا واط وإنتاج سنوي 2,6 جيجا واط بقيمة 1,2 مليون دينار ممولة كمنحة من الاتحاد الأوروبي EU والبنك الأوروبي للتنمية EBRD ،حيث سيعمل على توفير ربع مليون دينار سنويا من كلف التشغيل لصالح شركة مياه الأردن-مياهنا، ضمن مشاريع الطاقة المتجددة التي دشنتها بدعم من الاتحاد الأوروبي والبنك الأوروبي للتنمية EBRD بقيمة 30 مليون يورو في الديسي بقدرة 24 ميغا واط وإنتاج سنوي 80 جيجا واط لتزويد مصادر المياه وخفض كلف التشغيل بقيمة 8 ملايين دينار سنويا .

واعرب الوزير عن الشكر والتقدير إلى كل من الاتحاد الأوروبي EU والبنك الأوروبي للتنمية EBRD لضمان تحقيق الأهداف الاستراتيجية لقطاع المياه في خفض كلف التشغيل وتحسين الخدمة للمواطنين واستدامة خدمات المياه ، و تعزيز البيئة المحلية من خلال تقليل انبعاث الغازات الدفيئة و توفير مصدر نظيف للطاقة وفرص عمل بما يحقق التنمية المستدامة.

Ministry of Water: Solar Energy Projects Save 8 Million Dinars Annually
The Minister of Water and Irrigation, Eng. Raed Abu Al-Soud, inaugurated the operation of the photovoltaic solar energy project at the Zara–Ma’in Station, in the presence of the European Union Ambassador Pierre-Christophe Chatzisavas, the Secretary General of the Water Authority Eng. Sufyan Al-Battayneh, the CEO of Miyahuna Company Eng. Mohammad Al-owran, and representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The project has a capacity of 1 megawatt with an annual production of 2.6 gigawatt-hours, at a cost of 1.2 million dinars, funded as a grant by the European Union (EU) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). It will contribute to saving a quarter of a million dinars annually in operating costs for the Jordan Water Company – Miyahuna. This project is part of the renewable energy initiatives launched with support from the EU and the EBRD, valued at 30 million euros, including the Disi project with a capacity of 24 megawatts and an annual production of 80 gigawatt-hours, supplying water sources and reducing operating costs by 8 million dinars annually.
The minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the European Union and the EBRD for ensuring the achievement of the strategic objectives of the water sector by reducing operating costs, improving services to citizens, ensuring the sustainability of water services, and enhancing the local environment through reducing greenhouse gas emissions, providing a clean energy source, and creating job opportunities, thereby achieving sustainable development.
